Who is Jeannie Olson?

Jeannie grew up in the small tight knit community of Franklin Wisconsin. Never being one to sit still, she quickly discovered a love of horses and the outdoors at an early age.   Jeannie and the Art of Photography merged at age nine when she was introduced to her first camera during a 4-H project. 

Earning scholarships in Art and Swimming to William Woods College in Fulton Missouri, Jeannie merged both interests. Transferring to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to be closer to home, Jeannie changed her area of studies to a Double Major of Photo Journalism, and Geography, with a Minor in Geology, still finding time for horses with an Independent Study through the Animal Science Department. While in College, Jeannie discovered a talent for taking action photos. Working for the Student Voice, Jeannie covered the University's Football Program. Also while in River Falls, Jeannie did freelance work for the River Falls Journal covering live events for the paper. 

Besides new majors at a new school, Jeannie met her future husband while covering an intramural softball game as a photo journalist.  While Jeannie swears it was love at first site, Greg is still convinced she was merely looking for a pack mule to carry photography equipment around the world, while she played!
